2018 LLF Gathering

Registration at the door is available for $20 but pre-registering guarantees lunch!

We will have a total of 12 workshops in three different tracks, Local Food, Community, and Sustainability.


The workshops include:

  • Cheesemaking in 30 Minutes or Less - Amanda Dougherty, Itipaw Sagebrush Ranch
  • Beneficial Insects in Laramie Yards and Gardens - Scott Schell, UW Extension
  • Soil Microbiology Crash Course - Dr. Pete Stahl, UW Associate Professor
  • Pasture Raised Meats at Black Market Farm - Matt Sigel, Black Market Farm
  • Tips for Reducing Kitchen Waste - Jane Thelen-Wade and Alison Doherty
  • Composting with Worms - Erika Babbitt-Rogers, Wyoming Worm Wrangler
  • Lawn Alternatives - Beyond Bluegrass - Chris Hilgert, UW Extension
  • Farming Laramie Soils - Dr. Larry Munn, Retired UW Professor


We will also have a lunch provided by Caterings of Laramie and a dedication of raised beds in honor of Frank Walker, long time LLF member.
