You won't find a Starbucks in Laramie, Wyoming; the city has had the perfect cup of coffee waiting for you since 1993. Coal Creek Coffee boasts Wyoming's best brew, and is located downtown among some of the best local restaurants, breweries, and bars in all of the Cowboy State. If you come to the city for a long weekend or longer vacation, enjoy your favorite coffee drink early; you have a lot of specials, beers, and burgers awaiting you.
Laramie excels in a variety of comfortable sports bars with enjoyable atmospheres and great food. Walk around downtown and every day you're bound to find specials to catch your eye and quench your thirst. Snowy Range Sports Bar & Grill has events and specials for every playoff game or big race in sports. Every weekday, Mulligan's offers happy hour from 12PM-7PM and then again from 9PM-11PM (enjoy $1 off all craft beers during these times.) On Saturdays, Lovejoy's Bar and Grill hosts a happy hour all day with $2.50 microbrew drafts and $1.75 domestic drafts.
Many of those microbrew drafts are made right down the street from where you'll be dining. The Altitude Chophouse & Brewery on 2nd Street is known throughout the city not just for its down-to-earth vibe (tree stump barstools included), but also for its Lovesick IPA. This hoppy delight won "Best In Show" at the 2015 Laramie Brewfest, a fantastic weekend of fun held every July to highlight local food and drink around Wyoming. Remember Coal Creek Coffee? Coal Creek TAP has local drinks for after sundown as well.
The Gem City of the Plains does not just have menus for sports fans; downtown has a restaurant for every taste bud. Sweet Melissa's provides an entirely vegetarian menu for the plant-eaters in your party. Sushi lovers may be torn between Niko Sushi & Steak and Muzi Sushi, both well-loved spots for when you're craving seafood.
